Daily Horoscope for Virgo Summary

Mars, Uranus and Pluto are aligned right now, and it’s a nice recipe for people to get super ornery about things. The Mars involvement will drive emotional responses to the forefront. People will think about what they want, but not so much about everything else. Uranus wants to drive a change in states from what exists presently. Pluto does as well, but removes any sensibility from the process. Put it all together and people will do crazy things to get what they want, without much fear of the repercussions involved. Anything to get them further from where they are now.

This will obviously have scaled effects dependent on the situation. We’ve already had one catastrophic shooting this week, in what seems to be becoming more of a commonplace thing. A few weeks back, I wrote about it being harder to sell war when people have the ability to see through modern means the people they would be presumably fighting against – it’s harder to convince people to fight against an enemy when they see the human side of another group. However, we’re also falling into a situation in America where random people just go into places and kill people they may or may not know, either out of some convoluted concept of furthering some religious or political ideal, or for reasons of batshit insanity. These acts ultimately aren’t building any kind of movement, maybe save as a reinforcement for the same nutjobs who share such extremist beliefs. Common man isn’t looking at the massacres and saying to themselves, you know what, I got to get in on this. It’s not rational.

At the end of the day, these actors realistically are merely pawns for those in power to shuffle around and spin stories as they may. Every time there’s a shooting here, we have people stand up and say “We have to get rid of the guns!” and we have other people say, “This is why we need the guns”. Bud Dowd says the guns don’t mean shit. The real problem is why a seemingly growing number of people feel both the intent to kill, feel enabled to kill, and at the same time, feel that disenchanted with their lives that they go into these situations pretty much willing to accept they aren’t going to walk away. These are societal issues, and these are the issues we as people should be looking to solve. The guns aren’t going anywhere; they’re already out there. Even if there was a magic wand to remove all of the guns, you haven’t removed the intent of people to commit heinous acts.

In any event, I think we’re looking at the wrong problems, as we often do. We look for something to cling to emotionally, something where we might align ourselves with others of common mind. Aligning yourself with a pro-gun or anti-gun cause might cause you to feel like you are progressively combating the situation. But as I’ve said, it’s not a gun problem, it’s a people problem, and it’s easier for most to stand on the sidelines pretending it’s something it’s not than to have to look inward and say “I need to be less of an asshole, and raise my kids the same way”, and contribute to a more functioning society that has a renewed sense of repercussions, value for human life and respect for others. The world is rife with opportunity, but it won’t be if the world degenerates into a collective, fear-driven, anarchist state where everyone is afraid to leave the house. Go tell the people you know you care about them and they matter to you. Don’t treat people you don’t know like shit. We don’t all have to agree on everything, but we should all move beyond dehumanizing others based on labels or viewpoints, and we should work to reinforce the validity of moderate viewpoints that are more reasonable on a collective level. Material desires will burn a little stronger within you and this is a time where you might push for more acquisitions. The caveat here is you’re much more likely to desire things that other people have, rather than things that presently have no owner. You can angle to obtain these things from others, but don’t expect it to be as simple as you would think. There’s a level of thought here that such possessions might have an impact on how others think of you, which might further your drive.
