Happy New Year!

The current energy is kind of wonky. We have a Sun, Jupiter and Mercury stellium up in Capricorn, and this is going to have people looking to get the most value out of things. The caveat is they're going to be real particular about what they want, and it opens up a lot of avenues for criticism if things are less than ideal. When communications are on point, things will tend to go much more smoothly. At the same time, when things aren't, it can get a little more testy at times.

As this is going on, those planets are opposite of the Node, so the things we're pushing for often create conflicts with the things we're trying to achieve in terms of our larger life direction. At times, some choices may need to be made about what you're going to prioritize. In some senses it's a "nurture vs. leave others to fend for themselves" kind of dynamic.

In situations like this, balance and good decision making make a world of difference. You can mitigate some of the rougher situations just by being upfront about your plans, prioritizing the right things and trying to do what's best for everybody. It doesn't mean that you'll be completely free from turmoil, but you will lessen it to a degree. In addition, it's one of those transits that hardens us for the days to come. You put in the effort and work out the kinks now, and everything that follows later on will seem much more manageable. Best of luck.

In some of your situations, you have to look at what you're doing and decide if you're sliding back into some old habits you thought you might have bypassed. This can be especially true in some financial senses, where the things you're buying or otherwise trying to accumulate might be keeping some doors open that you should really just move on from. The core nature of this energy is change, and you should be really hesitant to buy into anything that might end up tying you down to things you've been trying to escape from recently.
