Happy Fathers Day..!!
Today I claim this day for myself.
Val's brother Joe died last night...
This was one of the best guys to ever walk the planet... And talented, he could hear a song and if you gave him a minute or two, he could play it note-for-note on just about any instrument... I loved that guy... It's the first time in over 25 years of writin' the 'scopes where I just do not have any words to say.
I was up all night, layin' on the floor with a sick dog too...
Dogs know things and I think my pal knew what happened...
He's doin' a lot better today...
But deep inside, I think he knew the loss we'd be feelin'...
We had the Father's Day feast...
Dry Aged Steaks... Clams... Tuna Steaks... Cod Filet's... Burgers and Dogs... Veg and salads... Kids all over the place... A very good day, but there was that element of sadness and loss...
Godspeed Joe... We'll miss you!!
That's it for now... I'll talk to you guys tomorrow...
