Mercury is still retro, but the good news is it goes direct at the end of the week. Today it connects with Venus in a way that might bring past flames back into the mix, or it might cause you to look back at things you once wanted but gave up on with a new sense of desire. As always with Mercury retro though, make sure you really want something before going after it, because you might not get what you're expecting.

Elsewhere in the chart, Mars hooks up with Neptune. This can increase the intensity of your dreams, and what you might see here is you dream about something, and that gives you some form of motivation to seek something similar out in the waking world. Things aren't necessarily going to be as they appear, but the nature of the energy is to create a beacon you can follow, even if it's not necessarily where you end up.

Overall, it might be a little busier and in some instances, crazier, in the day-to-day areas of life, but the energy on the whole should be enough to get you up and moving. As it's the new year, and Mercury retro seems to give people a lot of inspiration for making changes as well, you might see a lot of people aspiring to make life changes here (including yourself). Just remember things you start during this time have a lower probability of sticking, so if you do decide to make a change, it's extra important that you commit to it, even on the days when you aren't feeling it so much. If you do make any changes, you need to take them into the core of your being and make them part of who you are trying to be. Desire isn't enough; it's the will to change that lets you get through those times where it seems easier to revert back to your old ways. Best of luck.

There can certainly be times today where you can have an inflated ego and it might cause you to do things you normally wouldn't. While this won't always work out, in a lot of cases you'll surprise yourself with what you can accomplish. But in general, you should be able to approach people with confidence, and you should find it easier to make connections and get things started.
