It’s that crazy time of year again…the last minute preparations, the abounding thoughts, the store shelves are filled to the brim with all that is supposed to delight… and they make a fine analogy for how stacked we make our own ideas about this time of year. My vote is for clearing the shelf- it’s a whole new phase and it’s starting Right Now!

For many, it’s a great time to be free and celebrate, for many it’s a time of memories…sometimes the best thing we can do is realize that no matter our own personal circumstances, this time will pass and it is still, and always, the little moments that can change everything!

We each have our own story right now, mine involves a whole new perspective as this holiday will be spent focusing on the meditative and quiet moments. Contrast can be just the name of the game, shake it up… it can be just the thing right now as with the intense T-square energy between Mars, Uranus, and Pluto, the more grounded and centered we can be in ourselves, the easier it will be.

People often wonder how the holidays and the end of the year slides by so quickly and we are left in the dawning of the new year with little to say for how we got there…this will be especially true this year if we can’t slow down a little and enjoy our simple, little, single selves (emphasis on simple). For me, it was never the whole Christmas tree that impressed, but the single pine tree needle, snapped, rubbed in my palm and inhaled in all it’s natural glory that really enveloped me. The greatest memories are tied to all the senses…this is a great key to our undertaking at this time, be fully present with the self!

At 12:11 pm today, we enter Winter! The shortest day of the year, the longest night…a time to remember that within the darkness, the quit and the stillness prevails. Yes, we can’t forget to Renew ourselves, often the biggest challenge, sometimes with the least effort…(just let go)

It may sound strange, but this is exactly what we’ve got going right now…so much going on just in the nick of time to let it go and focus on ourselves, the little moment, the inner stillness…I’ll get more into these energy details in the Weekend Summary tomorrow!
