Daily Horoscope for Capricorn Summary

Anybody else following the AI news? I kind of ignored it at first, but I kept hearing more and more about it. It appeared that AI was being created to do the jobs that most people were not willing to do as they were tedious and low paying, with little advancement. There is now a McDonald’s in California that is completely automated. Hmm. Some employers are saying that they are willing to make the investment in the technology as it will save them so much not just in wages, but in benefits, training, recruitment, and managing of people. OK. I can understand that on one level. Every company needs to be profitable. But there is also the human factor. What are those people going to do for work? In education, there are apps and bots that will complete homework assignments instantly and even write papers for you. How is that going to help the educational system? There is even talk of having robots as teachers. As far as other professionals, the AI systems, can write computer programs, develop marketing plans and even make the cold calls for you! They can write music and song lyrics and even create artwork. They can write stories, poems and books on any subject. And they are just beginning. What they cannot do is put heart and soul into their work. They are incapable of any kind of emotions or feelings or experience. They can tell you what happened in the past, but not how that could affect the future.

There is a place for artificial intelligence, but we, as humans must remain in control of it and not let it make us so money focused that we forget our humanity and the importance of other humans. My hope is that over the next 20 years, as AI grows with Pluto in Aquarius highlighting a boom in technology, it will also emphasize the importance of our collective humanity and how we must be here for each other. It is our interconnectedness, our feelings and emotions and our ability to love that separate us from machines. If we allow ourselves to be pulled away from each other by constant communication with AI and Avatars, rather than face to face conversations we will eventually lose the most important reasons for life—to love and grow spiritually.

This weekend the moon will conjunct Saturn in Pisces. The Moon represents our emotions, while Saturn represents our responsibilities, and limits. When these two planets come together, it can create emotional restriction or pressure to take responsibility for our feelings. In conjunctions, each planet changes the other, but it can always go one of two ways. In this case, Saturn could cause us to hold our emotions in or the Moon will demand their expression, but we must take responsibility for them. Sometimes, this can seem like an impossible mission! This conjunction is short, as lunar conjunctions always are. But it could have an impact on your weekend.
