Our perceptions on things can tend to run away with themselves here, which makes us a lot more prone to anxiety and building things up to be greater than they actually are. Injecting a dose of realism is important to keep our mindsets at a rational level. If you can't speed a process up on your own, you're better off going and doing something else for the time being. In relationships, the key is to be realistic about what you demand out of others.
