At the same time, you have control over how you approach others, especially in those situations where you need to get them to do something. A gentler approach can be more effective (at least at the start), but even if you have to up the intensity a bit, you can do so without belittling people. Focus on what makes things important and avoid making personal statements about people that can escalate matters.
