Daily Horoscope for Cancer Summary
Mercury is running ahead of the Sun and our minds can run away with themselves with today's chart. The idea is to catch yourself before you start getting into too much conjecture about what's going to happen in the future. The longer-term energy tries to push us towards truth, whereas the current energy asks us to cast that aside and look beyond what's in front of us. It's good when you're trying to create something; it's bad when you're filling in gaps with details that aren't real.
As you go throughout the day, remember the onus is on you to confirm things are accurate whenever it's needed. People tend to get bit in the ass believing things are a certain way, when they were really misconceptions. The energy requires us to be a bit more defensive. It wants to know that we are on stable grounds, and that our situations are founded on real terms, not imaginary ones. If there are cracks, they'll tend to be exposed and we'll have to deal with them. But while this energy might seem annoying or frustrating at times, we should be better off for it down the line. Best of luck.

The Daily Horoscope for Cancer
This energy might lead to a lot more promises than you're used to making (and these might be ones you're not totally sure you can keep). But you'll tend to try to engage others first and worry about the details later. Those details can be important though, and you're in a position where it might be difficult for you to quickly gain expertise in a matter. So if your plan is to figure out how to do things along the way, that's a bad plan. In those cases, you might want to have someone handy who's more adept to help get you out of a jam should you wind up in one.

Daily Tao
Those who wish to take the world and control itI see that they cannot succeed
The world is a sacred instrument
One cannot control it
The one who controls it will fail
The one who grasps it will lose
Because all things:
Either lead or follow
Either blow hot or cold
Either have strength or weakness
Either have ownership or take by force
Therefore the sage:
Eliminates extremes
Eliminates excess
Eliminates arrogance
