That's not to say a little bit of emotion is a bad thing, but you need to avoid taking things to extremes. That's when you'll disconnect with what's going on around you and start making silly decisions. You want to be able to relate to others, but you can't try to let your words say more about a situation than is actually there. Other people have eyes; they can see things developing as well. You're going to have better perspective when it comes to what others want, which gives you a leg up in negotiations. Because you'll understand where they're coming from, you'll tend to know exactly how far you need to go in order to broker a deal, which in turn allows you to avoid giving up too much in the process.
