Interactions with people can be weird because of this as well. This is when character flaws tend to surface that change the way you see people, or conversely, where you can completely ignore things that are obvious to others. “You know, Laura. Your new boyfriend looks just like the guy who robbed the bank yesterday.” “No, it couldn’t be him.” So try to be a little less accepting of everything, realize that you’re probably only seeing things from an obscured viewpoint, and don’t make any decisions that are too finalized because the scope of things is likely to change again once you’re thinking clearly again. All of this will help you save the thousands of dollars you were going to invest in Pogs “because they will be a collector’s item” or from shacking up with guys who think they look good in ski masks. Even the best at their craft have an off day once in a while. I always think of the science teacher phone-a-friend on Millionaire who told his buddy that Oxygen was the most prevalent gas in the atmosphere. Ouch. Since this applies to you, you’re going to want to slow things down a little bit and make sure you go through the whole thinking process, rather than firing from the hip.
