Everything you do today to gain additional stability and security around you should work out well, to the extent where you might even expand beyond what you were initially thinking. It's going to be a good time for working on home projects as well. The better planned out everything is, the less likely it is you'll have to go back and revisit anything later though, so you might want to do some drafting of how things might turn out to visualize them first before actually starting any labor on it.
